Crisp costs $45 a month on Mini, $95 on Essentials and $295 on Plus per workspace, not per user. Those plans include 4, 10 and 20 or more seats, plus $5, $25 and $75 of AI credits that Crisp says cover about 90, 450 and 1,350 automated conversations. Extra agents are $10 a month each, and there is a free plan with 2 seats and no AI.
Crisp is one of the few live chat tools that prices by workspace instead of by seat, which makes it look cheap next to LiveChat or Intercom. The catch is the AI credit meter. This guide lays out the plans, explains what the credits do and does not cover, works through three monthly totals and shows when a flat website chatbot is the simpler purchase. Figures come from crisp.chat/en/pricing, checked November 4, 2026.
If you mainly want answers, lead capture and bookings on your site, start with the ChatBotWidget website AI chatbot. Site is $49 monthly or $24 per month billed yearly with 700 AI replies. Business is $99 monthly or $49 per month billed yearly with 1,500 replies and actions. See both on the flat plan pricing page.
Crisp plans and prices
| Plan | Monthly price | Seats included | AI credits included | Automated conversations (Crisp estimate) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 2 | None | None listed |
| Mini | $45 | 4 | $5 | About 90 |
| Essentials | $95 | 10 | $25 | About 450 |
| Plus | $295 | 20 or more | $75 | About 1,350 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Not listed | Not listed | Not listed |
Prices are per workspace. The pricing page does not show a separate annual price. It says yearly payment can be switched on inside the app after you subscribe, so check the discount there before you plan around it. Extra agents cost $10 a month each. Three additional workspaces get 20% off on Essentials and Plus, and nonprofits and students can get 50% off with a promo code from sales.
How the AI credits work
Crisp lists its AI Agent, AI knowledge training, an internal AI copilot, a no-code chatbot builder, multilingual replies, auto-tagging and conversation summaries. The Free plan has no AI credits at all. Paid plans include a dollar amount of credits, and Crisp translates that into an estimate of automated conversations. That works out to roughly $0.05 of credit per automated conversation on every paid tier.
What the page does not say matters for budgeting. It does not publish what happens when the included credits run out, whether you top up, or what a top-up costs. It also does not show which AI feature is available on which plan. Ask support before you assume the AI Agent on Mini behaves like the one on Plus. The totals below use only the published numbers.
Three worked monthly totals
These are hypothetical examples built from the published prices. They ignore tax and any top-up charges Crisp has not published.
A 3 person team on Mini
Mini includes 4 seats, so three agents fit with no extra fee. Total is $45 a month, with about 90 automated conversations covered by credits. A site where the bot handles 300 chats a month will outrun that allowance quickly.
A 12 person team on Essentials
Essentials includes 10 seats. Two extra agents cost 2 x $10 = $20. Total is $95 + $20 = $115 a month, with about 450 automated conversations covered.
A 25 person team on Plus
Plus lists 20 or more seats. If the plan includes exactly 20, five extra agents add $50, so the total is $295 + $50 = $345 a month, with about 1,350 automated conversations. Confirm the exact seat count with Crisp, because the page only says 20 or more.
For comparison, ChatBotWidget Business is $99 monthly or $49 per month billed yearly with 3 seats and 1,500 AI replies. A reply and an automated conversation are different units, since one conversation can use several replies, so measure your own chats first. The shape of the bill is the point. Crisp stays cheap while your team is small and AI volume is low, and the flat plan stays the same when the bot does most of the work.
When Crisp is the right choice
Crisp suits small teams that want a shared inbox, live chat, email and social channels in one workspace without paying per seat. The 4 seats on Mini and 10 on Essentials make it good value when several people answer customers every day. The built-in chatbot builder also fits teams that want to draw their own flows rather than let an AI answer from their pages.
If you already work in that inbox and the AI is a helper for overflow, Crisp is a sensible base and the credit allowance may be all you need.
When a flat website chatbot is simpler
A flat chatbot is the better fit when visitors mostly ask about hours, services, pricing and availability, and nobody wants to staff an inbox. ChatBotWidget answers from your published pages, books meetings through Calendly or Cal.com, and sends leads to your CRM through HubSpot, Pipedrive or a webhook. You pay one price whether the bot handles 200 chats or 2,000.
| Point | Crisp with AI | ChatBotWidget Business |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing unit | Per workspace with a seat allowance and AI credits | $99 monthly or $49 per month billed yearly, 3 seats included |
| AI allowance | About 90 to 1,350 automated conversations by plan | 1,500 AI replies a month |
| Best for | Shared inbox for several agents with AI help | Always-on answers, leads and bookings |
| Bookings | Through integrations | Calendly or Cal.com built in |
| When AI credits run out | Not published | Plan allowance, no per-resolution meter |
It does not replace a full multichannel inbox. If your team lives in email and social chat, Crisp is a fair base. If you are also putting up a new site to send visitors to, an AI website builder that creates the whole site from a description pairs naturally with a bot that answers from its pages. Crisp pricing FAQ
How much does Crisp cost per month?
Crisp is $45 a month on Mini, $95 on Essentials and $295 on Plus, priced per workspace. Free has 2 seats and no AI. Enterprise is custom. Extra agents are $10 a month each, and the pricing page does not list annual rates.
Does Crisp charge per user?
Not per user on the main plans. Mini includes 4 seats, Essentials 10 and Plus 20 or more. Beyond the included seats, additional agents cost $10 a month each, so the price rises only when your team outgrows its plan.
Does Crisp include AI?
Paid plans include AI credits of $5, $25 and $75, which Crisp estimates at about 90, 450 and 1,350 automated conversations. The Free plan has no AI credits. The page does not publish top-up prices, so ask support if you expect heavy AI use.
Is a flat chatbot cheaper than Crisp?
For answers, leads and bookings with no shared inbox, often yes at higher volume. ChatBotWidget Business is $99 monthly for 1,500 AI replies, while Crisp Plus is $295 for about 1,350 automated conversations. If your team needs a multichannel inbox, Crisp can still be the better fit.
